Association of University Directors of Estates (AUDE) 2008 Conference, organised by The University of Liverpool.

The 2008 AUDE Conference - A New View - was held from 17 to 19 March and hosted by the University of Liverpool.   The pre-conference registration and social was on 16 March.

Liverpool is already well known around the world for its maritime history, architecture, music, sport and the arts.  In 2008 the city adds the title European Capital of Culture to this heritage.  Nearly two million extra visitors are expected to attend the many world-class festivals and events that will take place in the run-up to and including 2008.

During the conference we held events in the Maritime Museum, located in the beautifully restored Albert Dock complex and in the glorious grade two listed Sefton Park Palm House.  A champagne reception on a Mersey Ferry gave delegates superb views of the famous Three Graces - the Royal Liver Building; the Cunard Building and the former offices of the Mersey Docks and Harbour Board.
