Each year Greater Manchester Employer Coalition holds its prestigious Awards event to celebrate where employers are making a real difference to the lives of local people.

Our Awards have been running since 2005 and are now a key event in the business calendar. Our Awards recognise the employers, partnerships and individuals that make Greater Manchester a great place to live and work. The event is a celebration of what can be achieved, as well as a call to action for other employers.

The Greater Manchester Employer Coalition Annual Awards act as a showcase of businesses, individuals and other organisations that are leading the way in breaking down barriers to work and investing in their most valuable asset, their workforce.

This year the Greater Manchester Employer Coalition (GMEC) is celebrating a decade of difference which marks the Employer Coalitions 10th anniversary making this years Awards an even more high profile event than ever before.

2008 is the fourth year of the Awards and they are now established as the main Greater Manchester celebration of employers making a big difference to the local employment and skills landscape.

With key policy initiatives such as the Local Employment Partnership, Skills Pledge and City Strategy having an increasing impact on the employer agenda; the 2008 event is likely to be a keenly contested competition.

During the 2008 event you will be able to see real life examples of good practice and have the chance to network during our increasingly popular gala event. Our knowledge, expertise and understanding of the needs of the local community and employers allows us to truly work towards achieving goals that will allow for longer term positive impact in the lives of local people.
