Energy efficiency project lights up Kenya
Tuesday 22nd April 2008

Over 8,000 energy efficient light bulbs have recently been distributed to local communities in Mombassa, Kenya. The new bulbs replace incandesant light bulbs and are over five times more efficient, saving energy as well as money.
As well as homes, the light bulbs were distributed to local schools, churches and mosques. Each energy efficient light bulb will save 130kg of carbon dioxide per year of use.
